Evidence of a bookplate having been removed. Engraved frontis of Clare's cottage with tissue guard, both with some foxing. Pages very clean. Offset on page 63 where a piece of paper was laid in.

A Very Good original copy.

This is the final volume of Clare's poems published during his lifetime. It contains about half of the poems from the Midsummer Cushion Manuscript which was not published in complete form until 1979.
