A wonderful Edwardian photograph album of the Crosses of Gloucestershire. 44 photographs each measuring 6 inches by 4 inches approx. of excellent quality. The album is in alphabetical order with 9 spaces for photographs in villages that Mildred intended to take. Each is identified below in white photographer's ink with a date of 1907 or 1908 and his distinctive monogram beneath. Some of the photographs show village scenes in the background and other topographical detail. His name and signature on Under Sheriff Office notepaper laid in.

Daniel Mildred (1870-1923) Pageant Director and amateur photographer, organiser of the Butleigh Revel 1906. He lived at Preston House Cirencester. Mildred is well known in the Cirencester area and a number of his photographs survive in private family collections.
